Mackinac Island Day Trip

There is nothing better than a quick visit to Northern Michigan's, Mackinac Island. We started our morning off bright and early and hit the road for a two hour car trip. Once we hit Mackinac City, the tip of the lower peninsula, we bought tickets and boarded our ferry for a 30 minute ride over to the island. Before we knew it we were sailing the open waters, cruised beneath the Mackinac Bridge, and docked at the pier. As we coasted the shoreline, as always, we were blown away by the beautiful hotels, houses, churches, etc. that encompass the quaint landmark. Once our sea legs settled we rented bicycles to enjoy the scenery and everything the island has to offer. After a relaxing 7 mile bike ride we stoped for lunch, shopping, a visit to the world famous Grand Hotel, and of course.... Mackinac Island fudge. Come along with me & enjoy the ride!
